I recently went to see the Kiefer exhibition at the royal academy. The work there bowled me over. The scale of the works and thickness of paint applied to the canvas's really interested me. As well as this, the concept of time to each work is extraordinary; he doesn't seem to have one. This ties in well with my interest in Journey's and the fact that Kiefer almost has to see his journey with each work till the end, unable to let it go.
